At Sing to Say, our goal is to help as many children with autism as possible gain spoken language through our app. That’s why we’re so proud to announce the launch of the Sing to Say Foundations app, which was created specifically for the Android platform. This new app allows us to reach an even wider audience than ever before.
But what makes Sing to Say Foundations so special? The first thing is our dedication to research. We’ve worked extensively with teachers, parents, and speech and language pathologists to create an AAC app that provides children with communication delays with an easy-to-use, engaging platform.
Next, we offer some fantastic ways for kids to play with language. A child can use music to discover a word in the ‘Learn It’ part of the app. There, they can watch friendly characters called the Minimops sing a song about a word. The child can then use the ‘Check It’ module, which checks for comprehension of the word. The opportunity to listen to music and have fun with language helps to motivate children and facilitate learning.
“We’ve seen such a great response from parents, teachers, SLPs and, most importantly, kids,” says Sing to Say founder, Neil Smolar. “We cannot wait to get the Foundations app into the hands of as many children as possible. It’s our goal to help children who cannot speak find their voices.”
